Introduction of Ming Zhau Qi Yuan Buddhist Center

Ming Zhau Qi Yuan Buddhist Center strives to introduce the values and philosophy of Mahayana Buddhism to people, by providing educational opportunities, holding Buddhism events, aiding in charity work, organizing monthly pujas and conducting religious services which are all the methods leading people toward to wisdom and compassion.

The Ming Zhau Qi Yuan Buddhist Center (MZQY) is established in 2013 by Ven. William Tseng (as known Fa-kwang Shih) whom serves to people for over 12 years by giving various kind of help aids people recover from mental and physical problems. In order to offer the students with a place continuing study, providing chances to learn to offer themselves to all the sentient beings, Ven. William overcame severe difficulties then to have the center registered under Taipei City Government and official opened in this October, even though all these activities were held continuously for many years already.

MZQY also promotes a modern form of Buddhism. We seeks to make Buddhist teachings relevant to all people in the 21st century, promote peace and harmony among all the sentient beings not just for the human beings which enable us to create an actual pure land and a spiritual one on Earth. Now, we need your help to enable us make these work continuously, including the daily operation, materials for practice and study, text and printing books.

One of Ven. William’s many many devotions is to protecting and rescuing animals. Stray, abused or abandoned dogs are current work especially large dogs like Tibetan Mastiff, Caucasian Shepherd and Golden Retriever whom were sold at high prices as puppy yet abandoned very soon as their physical sizes changed and the size isn’t easy for most family. So far, we have rescued 10 Tibetan Mastiffs, 2 Caucasian Shepherds , 8 Dachshund and 2 Golden Retriever from Governmental Shelters all over Taiwan while they were few days away from euthanasia. Some of them are calm and happy now after spend time with different volunteers and with medical treatments, some are still dealing with the pain from fear and abuse. 2 of female Tibetan Mastiffs were took back from the Government Shelter right before an urgent euthanasia was engaged as they were kept in a private breeding farm for over 12 years just forced giving birth and turned to be extremely sick in all condition.

Currently, we are lack of care equipment, food, medical supplies, fixed ropes, veterinary spends, and mostly a permanent shelter for these dogs to rest with no harm and fear. Please make your donation to help us to help these lives whom have same right to live happily with dignity like mankind. We choose to help and you can, too.
